Economic Development

Microfinance development programs are not enough to develop the skills of self-sufficiency. Thus, to become self-sufficient, it is necessary to set up small and medium-sized independent local businesses that creates jobs, opportunities and resources for members of the parish as well as those of the immediate community, but also for evangelization and the local ministry. In other words, local funds for local use. ACDI will develop these businesses with local and international partners and Christian business to provide increasing support to communities at a local level.

Thus, microenterprise and microcredit allow people to receive a starting capital after a short training at CIDA that will allow them to start an income generating activity.

Bridge of Hope

The sponsorship project has the potential to help children and parents about the physical, economic, social and spiritual. It will change the life of a child or young poor by making out of the state of despair to bring hope. The goal of this project is to give every vulnerable child a chance to succeed in the community and to know God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is also the symbol of God's love for everyone.

It consists of regular visits to families by local representatives, advice, briefings on current issues and future jobs. Sponsorship requires 3 things Sponsor: financial support, prayer and correspondence parrain- godson.     

• Financial support: a contribution of US $ 30 or € 28 per month for the support of a child or godchild. Payment may be by check or direct debit. A form is included in the mail we send you after receiving your application.     
• Prayer. It shows both that God hears prayers and answers and secondly that it is his intervention that depends the success of sponsorship.     
• Correspondence. It helps to build character and confidence of your godson. The impact of your message can be decisive in his life.

Community and Agricultural Development

The goal is to create a self perpetuating agricultural development to enable local churches system, communities and individuals to support, sustain their own activities. It includes an extensive range of activities:    

• Food production: maize, cassava, plantain, yams, citrus, vegetables, tomatoes, cocoa, coffee, etc. We will explore areas where we can use the export and practices of trade fairs to help improve the local economic situation. We will also explore the promotion and use of agricultural practices and special products to help improve local health.     
• Animal production: sheep, goats, pigs, poultry.

These activities will generate self-employment and income for communities, church members, and churches.     

• Technological improvement: so far rudimentary techniques are used in the agricultural and livestock production. A.C.D.I. would train farmers and introducing appropriate technologies (rototiller, animal vaccination, prophylaxis)     
• Promote organic farming.
