The Christian Alliance for Integral Development (ACDI) continues its commitment to economic and financial inclusion in the Kara region. Through its project “Capacity Building and Microcredit for Youth and Women in the Prefectures of Kozah, Binah, Dankpen, and Doufelgou,” the organization is increasing its efforts to stimulate local entrepreneurship and strengthen the autonomy of rural communities.

As part of this effort, a field mission was held on August 22 and 23, 2025, with the aim of training and equipping beneficiaries to support them in creating and managing viable and autonomous cooperatives. This step is considered essential to ensure the sustainability of the income-generating activities supported by the project.

Two cooperatives benefited from this capacity building: “SCOOPS” HARIM SARA ASKPALAN in the canton of Namon, commune of Dankpen II, composed of 17 members, including 11 women and 6 men, and “SCOOPS” HAD-TOKOU ASKPALAN, also composed of 17 members, including 13 women and 4 men.

This training represents a major step forward in structuring local economic initiatives. It supported the cooperatives in developing their legal texts (bylaws and internal regulations) and in holding their Constitutive General Meetings.

Through this action, ACDI confirms its leading role in promoting social and inclusive entrepreneurship, placing vulnerable populations at the heart of local development. This project thus contributes to building a united and sustainable economy, bringing opportunities for the entire Kara region.
