According to the President of the NGO ACDI, Reverend Nathaniel A. ADAWONU, the organization “is ready to do even more for the communities, particularly by expanding operations to include the treatment of fibroids and other related conditions.” According to the director of Saint Joseph Hospital, “this partnership is intended to be long-lasting”.

In the local area, vulnerable populations struggle to access appropriate surgical care, particularly for conditions such as hernias, fibroids, cysts, and lipomas. Recognizing this situation, Saint Joseph Hospital in Datcha and the NGO ACDI acknowledge the “need for synergy between development organizations and healthcare facilities to improve surgical care and contribute to the well-being of the population.”
The purpose of this agreement is to define the terms of collaboration between Saint Joseph Hospital in Datcha and ACDI regarding the organization and performance of surgeries for individuals suffering from hernias, fibroids, cysts, and lipomas.
The hospital will provide its medical facilities, equipment, and qualified staff to perform the surgeries and will handle patient care before and after the procedures.
ACDI will ensure the mobilization of human and financial resources for the smooth conduct of operations, as well as the identification and mobilization of potential beneficiaries. Emphasis will also be placed on raising public awareness regarding the importance of the surgery and the conditions for participating in the program.
A monitoring committee comprising representatives from the hospital and the NGO will be established to ensure the smooth conduct of activities, periodically evaluate results, and propose adjustments.
