From September 1st to 5th, 2025, the Saint Joseph Hospital of Datcha hosted a free surgical campaign dedicated to the treatment of hernias. This humanitarian initiative was organized by the NGO Christian Alliance for Integral Development (ACDI), in partnership with New Harvest Missions International (NHMI).

A total of 19 patients received high-quality, fully covered surgical interventions. These operations allowed the beneficiaries to regain their health and turn the page on a condition that, in some cases, limited their daily and professional activities.

According to ACDI officials, this campaign addresses a major concern: providing rural communities with equitable access to specialized care, which is often inaccessible due to its high cost. “We want to give a chance to those who do not have the financial means to seek treatment. Health is a fundamental right, and we are committed to making it a reality,” emphasized a representative of the NGO.

For his part, Dr. Tiv Ashanti Johnson expressed his satisfaction at being able to contribute to this solidarity initiative. He praised the quality of the collaboration with the medical team at Saint Joseph Hospital in Datcha, while encouraging the continuation of such initiatives, which provide real and lasting relief to the population.

By conducting this campaign, ACDI is reaffirming its commitment to community health, social solidarity, and integral development. The organization intends to continue its efforts to extend this type of medical action to other locations in the country, with the aim of reaching a greater number of beneficiaries and sustainably improving access to care.
